Far Cry 3 is an astoundingly good game, that, you are correct regarding. However, I don't believe so soon after the games release, you can have extensively played the online components the title offers as well as the lengthy single-player campaign. Yes, I know the central attraction to the title is the story mode, however, the Co-Op and Competitive multiplayer make up two of the four modes on offer, and I don't believe two miniature paragraphs are sufficient analysis' of such mode...
The Gears of War franchise has an average score of 92.67.
The Uncharted franchise has an average score of 92 precisely. (89 including Golden Abyss)
If you prefer the Uncharted franchise, that is perfectly acceptable, but don't attempt to belittle the fantastic quality of the Gears of War franchise.
Actually, Gears of War had been in development prior to Uncharted's.
Gears of War started development shortly after the release of the original Unreal Tournament back in 1999. It was originally titled "Unreal Warfare" and was intended to be a large multiplayer title. Development was delayed and following the release of Unreal Tournament 2004, the titles development was resumed, taking on the new identity of Gears of War.
Uncharted: Drakes Fortune was in...
I love how small a percentage of N4G Commentors read articles prior to commenting on them.
1) The Gears and Halo similarity is in regards to scale and genre. In regards to gameplay Gears and Halo hold massive differentiations.
2) This is by no means a confirmation of the unannounced games genre as this particular quote was taken from an "Internet sleuth".
Read the article next time.
If you disagree so strongly with the writer, and believe his opinion to be a joke, then why did you upload the article?
No, it's a 7. The whole anti-EDGE comments always perplex me. Yes, they're critical of games, however, that makes high scores more of an achievement, rewarding the efforts of great developers.
10/10 doesn't always mean a perfect game.
It's out, and its incredible.
An astounding achievement by Ubisoft, especially when considering the hate directed towards them regarding Far Cry 2. The game looks stunning, immersive and fun. I can't wait for release date to arrive.
I think you're right, along with Walking Dead: The Game.
It's a shame that for many gamer's, this title wasn't already on their radar, I've had my Pre-Order for age's.
The game looks absolutely stunning, I'm not surprised at all by the overwhelming reception its receiving, 10/10 from Eurogamer, 9/10 from IGN. Ubisoft truly deserve these scores for the years of work that have been poured in to the development of this sequel, coupled with the task of improving on the heavy criticism's thrown by the gaming community, Far Cry 3 is a brilliant accomplishment...
Release date can't come soon enough.
As do IGN, who gave the game an 8.
Gamespot are brilliant reviewers and always offer an unbiased opinion. They were critical, but, I believe it was for the correct reasons, the game doesn't try enough original gameplay mechanics and borrows heavily from Smash Bro's.
The game, to me, looks fantastic. Looking forward to stepping back into the shoes of Agent 47.
Spiderman 2, the Greatest Movie Game of all time...
All he got was a helmet? How about 10 years of fantastic online service?
Gears of War Trilogy,
Halo 3/4,
Lost Odyssey,
Grand Theft Auto IV,
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion,
(Original) Mass Effect.
The game looks astoundingly good. Also, Dan Houser's writing is expectedly brilliant.
Shane Sattersfield claimed Modern Warfare 3 to have the greatest single-player experience of 2011, why is he given Black Ops 2 to review?
My vote currently goes to Halo 4 also, but The Walking Dead Game is a close candidate, I look forward to seeing how Telltale handle the closing chapter of season one. A lot of developers have taken risks this year, whether its through writing, or through taking their existing franchises in unexpected directions. I predict varying choices for GOTY Awards this year.
They'd have most likely been payed a huge amount for Mass Effect to be released on Playstation 3. Great that others can experience the full trilogy, I've considered the original to be the best of the three.
